Bruce Strachan speaks at the Downtown: Let’s Get Started Rally in Prince George, BC on Saturday, September 27, 2008 —– Bruce Strachan - Emcee Bruce Strachan is a downtown area resident and is a former Minister of Environment who served for 12 years as MLA for Prince George South. His political experience includes serving as Deputy Speaker of the Legislature and Government House Leader. As well, he is a former Minister of Health, Intergovernmental Relations and Advanced Education. He is also the former Chair of the District 57 school board in Prince George, where he has lived for 36 years. Mr. Strachan was a City Councillor from 1999 until 2002 and served as a Director for the Regional District of Fraser Ft. George. He has writes a regular newspaper column and was a daily open-line talkback host with radio station CJCI. In 2002, Mr. Strachan also served as the Panel Chair for The Recreation Stewardship Panel that was created by the Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection to make recommendations on a new management and funding model for fish, wildlife and park recreation.

David Bland Ride For Life
David was a really great young man and an inspiration to all who knew him. He died at the start of Year 9 two years ago of a brain haemorrage. His organs were all donated and his family and friends now are keen to raise money for organ donor awareness.
